I remember as a young kid being in elementary school having to write an essay on what life would be like in the year 2020. I thought it would be something like we would be driving cars in the air instead of on highways like the Jetsons! But Nothing like this! We have made great strides in technology and research for sure, and for that I remain THANKFUL!
Figuring out ways to keep myself busy trying not to overthink the situation we are in. I have been video chatting a lot with people I know ranging from Puerto Vallarta Mexico to Shanghai China, and zooming with the my support group, and some friends! I have also been listening to some podcast, listening to my audiobooks, playing solitaire, found myself watching a little more TV (not news, or anything political however, I did get out and vote.), and trying not to procrastinate on writing in this blog! I am very THANKFUL to get to do those things! What about you? Let me know in the comments below! That rhymed, LOL!!
I still remain THANKFUL to have been given this good immune system! Staying close to home, and if I do go out I wear a mask, social distance, and wash hands! All the stuff you have been hearing about for months. I never thought it would be going on for this long. A neighbor friend of mine yesterday just dropped off at my door a Thanksgiving, and 2 Christmas designed masks. While I am so THANKFUL for them and they are so adorable I just wish we did not have to be concerned about having them.
I still do go to church on Sundays, my once a week outing, and I am so THANKFUL as I have no idea if that will come to an end temporarily again! I went to a funeral last Saturday for one of my dear close friends who passed from Covid, ugh! I am so tired of this all, and I want it to be over! Just when we think things are finally starting to get back to being “normal” POW it comes on worst than before, ugh! Through it all I still remain THANKFUL for I know that God is always with me, and I have the best support system of my family and friends!
My plans are simple this year as I am having Thanksgiving dinner with my brother, sister, and of course my dad! Hoping to get to spend some time with one of my best friends and her family on Saturday! Many hugs and much love to you all, be safe, careful, and gobble on! I hope that in everything that you do this Thanksgiving you will always be THANKFUL!
Thank you for reading and letting me vent!
Rolling on, Stephanie

I enjoy your blog and so glad you’re writing again. It has been a difficult year, but there’s always something to be Thankful for. I’m Thankful we got to know each other this year. You are amazing and I admire your courage.
I too had hoped we wouldn’t have to be wearing mask through the holidays. At least we can have a little fun. I’m glad you liked those I dropped by.
God’s plan is perfect and we have to be diligent and stay the course. We don’t understand why all this is happening, but if we stay close to God he will see us through.

I am so thankful and happy to see your comment on here! I think it is James 4:6 that says “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”

I am misquoted the Scripture is James 4:8

Yes, it’s hard to sit back and appreciate what we are thankful for while inside we are whining about what a crazy difficult year it’s been. We MUST remain thankful, hopeful, and mindful of everything we have because we are so blessed (and most of us spoiled) and so many have nothing, or have lost everything. I am thankful for friends like you, my family, the fact my Uncle Tony is on the mend, and so much more. Thank you for reminding me we still have so much to be thankful for and I hope you and yours have the best Thanksgiving ever! 🤗❤️😘
